HELI HIKING FINLAND
Arctic Wilderness Heli-Dropping
Finland
19 – 26 July 2026 | No Roads. No Signal. No Rescue.
On 19 July 2026, a helicopter lifts us from Kilpisjärvi, Finland into the vast Arctic wilderness of the Käsivarsi region

We are dropped over a remote lake deep in the tundra. We jump and survival begins.
Only Skill, Teamwork and Wilderness
For six days we navigate through one of Europe’s most isolated landscapes using only:

  • Map
  • Compass
  • Terrain judgement
  • Team cohesion

There is:
  • No GSM / mobile coverage
  • No villages
  • No marked trails
  • No external assistance

This is not a guided hike. This is a wilderness navigation expedition.
The Concept

This expedition is built around three remote checkpoints.
The team must:

  • Navigate across Arctic tundra, wetlands and rolling mountain terrain
  • Cross rivers safely
  • Select viable camp locations
  • Manage energy, food and morale
  • Make route decisions under pressure
Our objective:
Return to civilisation within 6 days.
Failure is not dramatic.
But it will be uncomfortable.
The wilderness does not care about your emotions
Who Is This For?

This expedition is designed for:

  • Experienced hikers
  • Survival practitioners
  • Outdoor professionals
  • Military / law enforcement backgrounds
  • Those who completed advanced Sweden Survival training
This is NOT a beginner trip.

You must be:

  • Physically strong
  • Mentally resilient
  • Comfortable with discomfort
  • Confident carrying 25–35 kg
  • Able to operate calmly without signal or backup
Navigation is responsibility.
Terrain & Environment

The Käsivarsi wilderness is unlike Scandinavia’s forests.

Expect:
  • Open tundra
  • Bog and marsh crossings
  • Rocky plateaus
  • Fast-changing Arctic weather
  • Midnight sun
  • Mosquito intensity
Temperatures in July can range from 5°C to 25°C.
Weather can shift rapidly.
This landscape offers no shelter unless you build it.
No rescue. Only consequences.
Remove technology. What remains is you.
