Winter Expedition Sarek National Park 2025
Extreme 7 days of winter survival only for the diehards in Sarek National Park
Calculate risk index, identify risks, counter or except them. This makes travel in extreme conditions safer.
Winter expeditions in these environments are not for the faint harts. The temperatures in Sarek can plummet far beyond -25 degrees. Our 2025 expedition is an exploration for future trips. My goal is to find the most extreme conditions but also be able to identify risks and put counter measures in place.

For me the biggest risks are avalanches, weak ice bridges, holes in the snow, ice cavaties and such things.

We travel with Pulkas

We are traveling with 4 persons, each person has its own sled. These sleds are called "Pulkas" and the are tradition to the Sami people. Of course we use the modern version but principles are still the same. We carry our gear on the sled connected to our body and travel on skis and/or snow-shoes. Winter tents are general heavier and winter gear obviously also when temperatures are far below -15 degrees during the day.

selfreflection
What you will learn
Become one with nature

Embark on a transformative journey where you connect deeply with the natural world. Keep a personal diary to capture your thoughts, feelings, and insights along the way. After the trip, we’ll reflect together, uncovering the true meaning behind your experiences.

Growth, resilience and flexibility

Take a step back to evaluate where you stand in life and explore how to move forward. Growth begins with self-awareness. Build resilience while staying adaptable. Surviving this extreme climate will prove that you’re ready to tackle any challenge life throws your way.

Reflection

In the stillness of the circle, we pause to travel back in time and reflect on the adventure. What lessons has Mother Nature taught us? Where do we aspire to go, and what will we leave behind in this vast, untamed wilderness?
