Winter Expedition Sarek National Park 2025
Extreme 7 days of winter survival only for the diehards.
Calculate risk index, identify risks, counter or except them. This makes travel in extreme conditions safer.
Winter expeditions in these environments are not for the faint harts. The temperatures in Sarek can plummet far beyond -25 degrees. Our 2025 expedition is an exploration for future trips. My goal is to find the most extreme conditions but also be able to identify risks and put counter measures in place.

For me the biggest risks are avalanches, weak ice bridges, holes in the snow, ice cavaties and such things. Of course the expedition is all about extreme and hardcore survival and this requires serious planning. So that is what I am going to do in March 2025. Back to Sarek!
We are traveling with 4 persons, each person has its own sled. These sleds are called "Pulkas" and the are tradition to the Sami people. Of course we use the modern version but principles are still the same. We carry our gear on the sled connected to our body and travel on skis or snow-shoes. Winter tents are general heavier and winter gear obviously also when temperatures are far below -15 degrees during the day.
